Started in 2005 by Chris Cantey and Erni Walker in Tallahassee, Florida, the festival quickly expanded to other cities. Chefs and their respective restaurants are challenged to showcase their culinary skills during these festivities, with the grill being fired up and meat being seared, smoked, and cooked to perfection. Side dishes like baked beans, fries, and cole slaw are also expected to be flawless.
