👍 Why Is National K9 Veterans Day Important

Dogs already provide us so much delight since they are affectionate and faithful. They offer us even greater delight, though, when they strive for justice. K9 canines can do it all, from being the first sentry dogs in Dogs of Defense to being taught to sniff out contraband or pursue criminals. They have done so. K9 canines have previously worked as search and rescue dogs at Ground Zero, as security dogs, and in other capacities. We appreciate their service!

“There’s nothing cuter than a man in uniform?” as the saying goes. We’d like to change it because whoever invented it was obviously referring to dogs. This argument is supported by two points. To begin with, there’s something so endearing about how serious K9 dogs get when performing their duties. Second, they are issued little miniature police vests. The case is closed.

K9 canines are beautifully trained in an age when some parents can’t even get their own children to take out the garbage on a regular basis. Still not convinced? Some K9s are taught to bite offenders’ arms to keep them in place when ordered. The dogs, however, are not permitted to draw blood. So they know how hard to bite down in order to hold without being violent. That is amazing! We salute you, K9 dogs.
