By 1995, the sales of Beanie Babies had significantly declined. In response, Ty Inc. released Teenie Beanies in 1996, which were smaller versions of the original Beanie Babies. To celebrate the 17th anniversary of the product, Teenie Beanies were even sold with McDonald’s Happy Meals in 1997.

Ty Inc. went out of business in 1999, but they resumed production in 2000 with the release of ‘The Beginning’ Beanie Baby, due to popular demand. In 2008, a new edition called Beanie Baby 2.0 was released. Each purchase of Beanie Baby 2.0 came with a code to access an interactive website, but unfortunately, the website no longer exists.
