Joan of Arc, a French heroine and Roman Catholic saint, came from a humble background. At the age of thirteen, she started having spiritual experiences and claimed to hear God’s voice urging her to revive France. In 1428, she had supernatural revelations that drove her to seek a meeting with Charles de Ponthieu, the leader of France at the time. France was divided and under English invasion by King Henry V. Despite being only 17 years old, Joan made a strong impression on Charles and was enlisted into a relief army on April 29, 1429. In less than a year, she led the French army to numerous victories, ultimately leading to the coronation of King Charles VII and the triumph of the French. However, at the age of 19, she was abducted by Burgundian soldiers and sold to the English. The English accused her of witchcraft and burned her at the stake. Joan was later declared a saint in 1920 and is now recognized as the patron saint of France.

Another significant figure, Sophie Scholl, was born in Germany in 1921 and was part of the anti-war group known as the White Rose. Alongside her friends, she painted anti-Nazi slogans on buildings and distributed anti-war flyers. Unfortunately, on February 18, 1943, they were captured and sentenced to death. Despite their impending execution, their bravery left an impression on even the guards, who allowed them to have one final meeting before their ultimate fate.

When doing so, you must be careful not to make them believe that the way they do things is incorrect or to lose sight of the distinctive components they bring to the table. Explain the necessity of understanding realistic anatomy to an artist who draws stylized figures, for example, without downplaying their art style, as many art teachers, sadly, do.
