In December 2015, Dick Smith, an electronics store, entered into a significant collaboration with Epilepsy Action Australia to promote Purple Day in Australia with a $50,000 financial sponsorship in 2016. The retail food company later contributed an additional $50,000 to match Smith’s support.

Anita Kaufmann holds the World Purple Day trademark in the United States, and supporters of the day are encouraged to wear purple clothing.
